Tikkun Olam

Tikkun Olam is a Jewish concept that translates as “repairing the world.” From a social justice perspective, Tikkun Olam can be understood as a commitment to building a more just, equitable, and sustainable society for all.

Tikkun Olam means recognizing and addressing the social, economic, and political inequalities that exist in our communities and working to overcome them. It means fighting against discrimination, oppression, and exclusion, and ensuring that everyone has access to the same opportunities and rights.

Tikkun Olam is a collective responsibility.

Lazos Mitzvah

Day

Born in the UK, this global initiative invites us to dedicate one day to making a social impact alongside friends, family, and neighbors. It’s a chance to build community and a more just world, in partnership with people of all cultures, societies, and beliefs. We give our time, and receive purpose in return.

Zikaron BaSalon

(in Spanish)

Zikaron BaSalon began in Israel as a powerful way to honor memory, inviting people to gather in the warmth and intimacy of a home to hear the story of a Holocaust survivor or their descendants. It’s a space for remembrance, identity, and responsibility. A time to reflect on the past, present, and future. More than 2 million people around the world take part in Zikaron BaSalon each year.
